Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician-ordered imaging studies
- Utilize specialized radiologic equipment and techniques to perform diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures within established scope of practice guidelines
- Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team to support desired clinical outcomes
- Conduct post-procedure reviews to confirm completion, documentation, and technical quality consistent with department protocols and accreditation standards
- Transfer images and data to appropriate archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting
- Perform operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfection, and user maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program with emphasis in a cardiovascular specialty, OR graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program with emphasis in radiologic technology
- Must meet applicant eligibility requirements for CT Certification (ARRT), to be achieved within 12 months of hire date
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, and radiologic/cardiovascular technology terminology
- Ability to work as part of a team, multi-task, and remain calm in stressful situations
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential information with discretion
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field
- Experience working with adult and/or pediatric patient populations in acute inpatient, outpatient, or diagnostic care settings
