Key Responsibilities

• Conduct CT procedures to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data using computerized tomography equipment.
• Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, document pregnancy status for patients of childbearing age, and ensure patient safety throughout all procedures.
• Obtain and manipulate images per protocols, perform multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data, and select appropriate window and level settings according to anatomy.
• Administer oral and IV contrast to adult and pediatric patients per protocol, establish intravenous lines, and verify contrast eligibility by checking appropriate lab values.
• Maintain thorough understanding of PACS, transmit and verify images, complete and modify orders accurately, and ensure all charge and demographic information is correct.
• Maintain a clean work environment, precept new employees and students, and document incidents as improvement opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences (ARRT) or be registry eligible; registry-eligible candidates must provide a copy of diploma from an accredited program.
• Advanced certification in CT required.
• Registry-eligible candidates must obtain registration within one year of employment and maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
• Current competency in HCP BLS required.
