Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Float across multiple acute care units including medical surgical, orthopedics, urology, neurology, GYN, cardiology/telemetry, surgery, and cardiothoracic, adapting quickly to varying unit needs and patient populations
• Independently read and interpret telemetry strips and manage patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring
• Manage titratable IV drips including nitroglycerin, amiodarone, and diltiazem infusions in an IMCU or step-down capacity on night shift
• Deliver direct patient care at an average ratio of 5:1 across units ranging from 16 to 32 beds
• Utilize Meditech for documentation and medication administration as required by unit workflows

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Massachusetts or compact licensure eligibility
• Minimum 4 years of recent acute care experience
• Step-down or IMCU experience required for night shift placement
• Proficiency with Meditech and IV therapy management
• Must pass an on-site telemetry strip exam on Day 1 with a score of 84% or higher (two attempts permitted)
• At least one recent and successfully completed travel contract required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 5 or more years of nursing experience
• Previous float pool experience strongly preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
