CT / Radiology Scan Technologist – Travel (Weekend Days)

Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Onsite | Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 8-Week Assignment | Projected Start: 06/29/2026
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT and radiologic exams under general supervision, following established policies and procedures using appropriate imaging equipment
- Verify patient identity, review medical records for exam appropriateness, obtain medical history, and assess risk factors including medications and pregnancy status
- Explain procedures to patients, including pharmaceutical side effects, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up instructions
- Set up equipment, acquire images per protocol, review images, document exceptions, and communicate findings to the radiologist
- Recognize and respond to medical emergencies appropriately and provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients
- Participate in process improvement activities including quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and imaging education for residents, student technologists, and new employees
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification in both CT and Radiology (must be provided at time of submission)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be provided at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent CT and Radiology experience; must be able to work independently
- Active Texas CT/Radiology license (must be provided at time of submission)
- Familiarity with GE CT and X-ray equipment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel technologist experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- Availability and willingness to take on-call shifts beyond the core weekend schedule
