Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
Location
Mission Hills, CA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital
- Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in accordance with unit standards
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic electronic health records
- Float between like units within the facility as directed by unit leadership
- Participate in holiday coverage, committing to a minimum of 3 of 5 designated holidays
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Advanced AWHONN, and LA Fire Card (obtained within the last 30 days)
- No open license or background hits; all license and background disclosures must be made at time of submission
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic charting system
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
- Familiarity with floating between like units in a multi-facility health system
