Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med-Surg General Surgery/Telemetry unit within a large academic medical center
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for general surgery and trauma patients
• Monitor patient telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic EMR
• Adhere to facility dress code and unit-specific protocols throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital (with passing competency test score) or 2 years of experience (no competency testing required)
• Competency testing must be completed within 24 hours of submission
• Must be a travel candidate (local candidates from ineligible counties will not be considered)
• Navy blue scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience in an academic hospital setting
• Prior experience with general surgery and/or trauma patient populations
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
