Job Title

Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Night Shift (with House Supervisor Responsibilities)

Location

Lake Isabella, CA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | Thursday, Friday, and Saturday | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

Provide patient care in an emergency setting with initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with minimum supervision
Triage patients safely, rapidly, and accurately
Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient status and changes in condition
Cross-train in other nursing departments as operational needs arise
Float to Med/Surg unit when needed

Required Qualifications

Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Must pass a nursing medication competency test
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, the general public, and governmental agency representatives
Basic computer skills required

Preferred Experience / Skills

2+ years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems, including T-System and CPSI
