Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days – 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry overflow unit supporting ED boarder patients in a flex-capacity setting
• Perform phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement as required competencies for all RNs on this unit
• Monitor, interpret, and manage cardiac dysrhythmias using telemetry equipment
• Administer oxygen therapy via nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management techniques
• Maintain peripheral line care and management, including adherence to isolation precautions
• Utilize and coordinate with Rapid Response and Code teams as clinically indicated

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered New York State RN license required at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records (hard requirement)
• Current BLS certification
• Ability and willingness to float as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nurse experience
• Familiarity with PICC line care and IV team protocols
• Experience working in high-census or overflow/flex unit environments
