Occupational Therapist – Inpatient (Travel Contract)

Contract | Days | 5x8-hour shifts | Sunday–Thursday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | 40 hours/week guaranteed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient occupational therapy evaluation and treatment within a short-term acute care setting
• Manage patients requiring moderate to maximum assistance, including co-treatments and patients on ventilators
• Conduct additional evaluations as needed throughout the day, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to pivot quickly
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care aligned with quality and patient safety standards
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Cerner electronic health records
• Adhere to facility quality, patient safety, and medication administration standards including BCMA protocols

Required Qualifications

• Current, active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Arizona (must be in hand prior to start)
• Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Ability to work one weekend day per week as part of the assigned schedule
• Comfort working in a fast-paced acute care environment with a varied patient census

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Generalist background with confidence treating a broad range of medical diagnoses
• Experience managing moderate to maximum assist patients and working with ventilated patients
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
• Ability to manage fluctuating caseloads and adapt to changing patient needs throughout the shift
