Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (Critical Care Float Pool)

Location

Phoenix, AZ

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Float daily based on census need across critical care units including PICU, CVICU, and NICU at the main campus and a multispecialty unit at a secondary campus
  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients ranging from premature neonates to adults with pediatric care needs
  • Adapt clinical practice across multiple critical care environments, including a Level 1 trauma center, transplant services, and a Level IV NICU
  • May cross-float to acute care units as needed based on staffing requirements
  • Adhere to scheduling expectations including every other weekend and a minimum of 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays per 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in pediatric critical care
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Current Arizona RN license or RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges, or ability to obtain Arizona licensure prior to start date
  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
  • Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Current NRP certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU setting
  • Previous experience in a freestanding children's hospital environment
