Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Neuro Med/Surg)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Projected Start: 06/29/2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 38-bed Neuro Med/Surg unit with a 4–5:1 RN-to-patient ratio on day shift
- Perform NIH stroke assessments, neuro assessments, and fall risk assessments
- Manage and monitor patients requiring IV pumps, seizure monitoring, BiPAP, CPAP, and glucometer use
- Provide trach care and feeding tube management as indicated by patient needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care technicians to deliver high-quality patient outcomes
- Apply Neuro Clinical Practice Guidelines for stroke (AANN) in daily practice
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Colorado or through compact licensure
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Med/Surg experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to multi-task, think critically, and take initiative in a fast-paced neuro environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Prior neuro nursing experience
- Experience with Meditech EMR
