Travel Occupational Therapist (OT)
Location
Overland Park, Kansas
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 8-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) | Weekend Coverage Required (Saturday & Sunday)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform occupational therapy evaluations and treatments across multiple inpatient units as a float OT
- Provide care for acute care patients (8–10 patient ratio) and inpatient rehabilitation patients (4 patient ratio)
- Utilize facility equipment including Hoyer lifts, EZ Stands, BITS, Xcite, Barihab, and BURT devices
- Document patient care and treatment plans using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with an OT/PT team of 11–12 occupational therapists scheduled per day
- Support a growing inpatient rehabilitation unit with weekend coverage on Saturday and Sunday
Required Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapist licensure in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
- Experience with adaptive and assistive equipment (Hoyer, EZ Stand, BITS, Xcite)
