Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Location

Albany, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients ranging from routine to high-risk OB, including antepartum patients requiring extended stays prior to delivery or discharge
Monitor and interpret fetal heart monitoring using the OB Trace FHM system in accordance with AWHONN staffing ratios
Assist with and support procedures performed on the unit including C-sections, cerclages, and tubals
Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
Float to postpartum unit as needed
Collaborate with in-house OB hospitalists, neonatology, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, lactation support, and OR/OB techs as part of a multidisciplinary care team

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery specialty
Prior travel nursing experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Intermediate level or above Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience with Meditech EMR
Familiarity with OB Trace fetal heart monitoring system
Experience caring for high-risk antepartum and OB emergency room patients
