Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown (Med/Tele)

Contract | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed telemetry and cardiac unit serving adult and geriatric populations with diagnoses including cardiac conditions, pneumonia, sepsis, ETOH, and acute-on-chronic conditions
- Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Nipride, Lasix, and low-dose Dopamine per protocol
- Read and independently interpret telemetry strips and cardiac rhythms
- Manage patients at a PCU level of care, including those with BiPAP, trachs, and high-flow oxygen devices
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 (general) and 1:3 (PCU overflow); float to PCU, med-surg, and ER hold areas as needed
- Adhere to every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday scheduling requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility for North Dakota)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Demonstrated PCU experience is required
- Ability to independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
- Experience titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Background in telemetry or cardiac nursing
- Familiarity with BiPAP, tracheostomy care, and high-flow oxygen equipment
