Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit at a Level I Trauma, acute care teaching facility with 554 staffed beds
• Manage patient ratios of 1:2 and support patients through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care
• Perform and assist with procedures including cerclage, external/internal fetal monitoring, AROM, version, C-section, PPTL, medically assisted deliveries, C-hyst, and nitrous administration
• Apply circulate and fetal heart monitoring (FHM) skills; demonstrate competency in meconium deliveries, massive transfusion protocol, and malignant hyperthermia response
• Float within scope to antepartum and postpartum units as needed to meet facility demands
• Fulfill on-call requirements: 12 hours over 4 weeks (4x12 contract) or 24 hours over 4 weeks (3x12 contract)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico (may be pending at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience; must have experience in a large L&D unit or facility
• Demonstrated experience in postpartum care, newborn nursing, and meconium deliveries
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (NRP must be in hand at time of submission; RQI certifications not accepted)
• Non-local applicants only; candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility and maintain a non-local driver's license on file
• Must be available to complete compliance documentation within 1–2 weeks of contract signing and drug screen within 30 days of start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neonatal palliative care and advanced obstetric procedures in a high-acuity setting
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
• Prior travel nursing experience in a comparable Level I or teaching hospital environment
