Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Location

Albuquerque, NM

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week available

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit at a Level I Trauma, acute care teaching facility with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
Perform and assist with procedures including C-section, cerclage, external/internal fetal monitoring, AROM, version, PPTL, and medically assisted deliveries
Demonstrate proficiency in fetal heart monitoring (FHM) and circulator skills
Float within scope to antepartum and postpartum units as needed to meet facility demands
Participate in on-call requirements (12 hours over 4 weeks for 4x12 contracts; 24 hours over 4 weeks for 3x12 contracts)
Utilize Cerner for all clinical documentation and charting

Required Qualifications

Active RN license (NM license may be pending at time of submission)
Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience; experience in a large L&D unit or facility required
Demonstrated experience with postpartum care, newborn nursing, and meconium deliveries
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (NRP must be in hand at time of submission; RQI certifications not accepted)
Non-local candidates only; must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility (non-local driver's license required on file)

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience with advanced L&D procedures such as massive transfusion protocol, malignant hyperthermia management, neonatal palliative care, nitrous oxide administration, and cesarean hysterectomy
Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
Prior travel nursing experience in a comparable acute care setting
