Travel Physical Therapist
Location
Carlsbad, New Mexico

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, one Saturday per month | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans to promote mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability
- Provide physical therapy services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with a primary focus on inpatient care
- Implement evidence-based treatment techniques and therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's needs
- Educate patients on self-management strategies and long-term health maintenance
- Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately using facility EMR systems (ReDoc/NetHealth, MedHost)
- Develop fitness- and wellness-oriented programs to support healthier and more active lifestyles
Required Qualifications
- Current and active New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure (pending NM licensure considered if included with submission)
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to comply with state fingerprinting requirements for New Mexico travelers
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with ReDoc/NetHealth and MedHost EMR platforms
- Experience working in a hospital or acute care environment
