Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
- Ensure all care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals as required
- Participate in student clinical programs as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill continuing education obligations
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Arizona
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and safe patient handling practices
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students in a clinical setting
- Active involvement in professional development activities, continuing education, or professional organizations
- Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies in a clinical environment
