Registered Nurse – ICU
Location
Odessa, TX
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:30–07:00)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients throughout night shift hours
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per care plans
- Float to Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit during low ICU census periods, with patient ratios of 5–6:1
- Accurately document patient care activities and clinical findings using electronic health record systems
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of professional nursing experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- TNCC or TCAR certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification and a minimum of 6 hours of Stroke education (education available if needed)
- EKG course completion (course available if needed)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
- Prior travel nursing experience in an ICU or critical care environment
