Registered Nurse – PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)
Location
Charleston, SC
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours/Week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct critical care nursing to pediatric patients in an intensive care setting with patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
- Float within scope of practice to all pediatric units as needed to meet facility demands, including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
- Participate in weekend shift coverage, with a minimum of 3–4 weekend shifts per schedule, as well as holiday rotation
- Contribute to emergency response team efforts as required, particularly during hurricane season (June through November)
- Complete required facility orientation modules prior to start date
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start)
- Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric ICU nursing experience
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
- Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
