Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights: Friday–Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12s) | Every Weekend Required | 36 Hours Weekly Guaranteed

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate CT and general radiology (x-ray) procedures, including portable examinations, according to protocol using optimal techniques and parameters to produce quality images for patients of all ages (neonate through geriatric).
• Ensure proper patient positioning, prepare equipment, administer intravenous contrast as ordered, and monitor patient condition before, during, and after scanning.
• Perform exam segmentation for PACS archive; accurately enter data into HIS and utilize RIS to capture patient visits, charge information, procedural codes, and resource usage.
• Report critical findings to appropriate personnel and assist physicians with invasive procedures as necessary.
• Adhere to radiation safety measures, infection control policies, National Patient Safety Goals, and DNV standards in CT and x-ray exam and control areas.
• Participate in continuing education to maintain current knowledge and competency; communicate with department leadership regarding productivity or performance improvement concerns.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiology Technology program required.
• Active ARRT certification required.
• Active Virginia state radiology license required (submissions without VA license will not be considered).
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a staff Radiologic Technologist with CT experience in a hospital setting.
• Ability to work every weekend and all required shifts, including holidays.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of clinical experience as a CT Technologist specifically within a hospital environment.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system.
• Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital setting.
