Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit specializing in post-PCI, pacemaker, AICD, post-MI, and cardiac pharmacological intervention patients
• Perform cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and participate in Rapid Response and Code team activations
• Manage IV therapy and peripheral line care, including phlebotomy
• Administer and monitor respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway management
• Maintain strict isolation precautions and adhere to infection control protocols
• Float to other units as required and complete pre-start modules prior to the start date

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license — must be in hand at time of submission, no exceptions
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required — must be included at time of submission
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records — hard requirement
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for cardiac patients including post-PCI, pacemaker, and AICD populations
• Familiarity with dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring in a high-acuity setting
• Comfort with patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7 in a MedSurg environment
