Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) float pool setting with a patient ratio of up to 5:1, with a goal of 4:1
• Float within skillset to other units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Monitor and care for telemetry patients, including occasional pediatric patients as census requires
• Work required weekends (2 per month) and holidays as needed
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC electronic medical records system

Required Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license or valid Multistate (Compact) RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of IMC, Telemetry, or PCU experience required
• Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required (BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be AHA-issued)
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• Candidates must reside more than 40 miles from the facility; valid driver's license required for address verification prior to offer acceptance

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Comfort and experience caring for pediatric patients in an acute care setting
• Experience working in a float pool or high-census, flexible staffing environment
