Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Albany, GA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (6:45 AM / 6:45 PM shifts) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to a high-risk and routine OB patient population across labor, delivery, and antepartum settings
Monitor and interpret fetal heart monitoring using the OB Trace FHM system and document care using Meditech EMR
Assist with and support procedures performed on the unit including C-sections, cerclages, and tubals
Float to postpartum as needed based on unit census and staffing requirements
Rotate weekends (every other weekend) and share holiday coverage with permanent staff
Collaborate with in-house neonatology, OB hospitalists, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and lactation support available 24/7

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery specialty
Prior travel nursing experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Intermediate level or above Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

Familiarity with AWHONN staffing ratios and guidelines
Experience with Meditech EMR and OB Trace fetal monitoring systems
Experience caring for antepartum patients requiring extended monitoring prior to delivery or discharge
