Travel RN – Medical Telemetry / Neuroscience Telemetry
Location
Asheville, North Carolina
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Neuroscience Telemetry unit with patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1 on day shift and up to 7:1 on night shift
- Perform Foley catheter insertions and IV starts as part of routine unit procedures
- Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Operate standard medical-surgical equipment in a telemetry care environment
- Float to other medical-surgical floors as needed per unit guidelines
- Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, and HUC staff to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior neuroscience or neurology nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience in a telemetry setting
