Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Location
Odessa, TX
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts | Tuesday through Friday | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Call required: 1 weekday and 1 weekend per month
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a main operating room environment
- Support a broad range of surgical specialties including orthopedic, trauma, general, gynecology, urology, ENT, plastics, pain management, ophthalmology, neuro/spine, and vascular procedures
- Assist with robotic-assisted surgical cases utilizing the Xi robotic system
- Fulfill on-call responsibilities as scheduled, including weekday and weekend call rotations
- Accurately document patient care activities using electronic health record systems
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience; 3+ years strongly preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current PALS certification required
- Operating room clinical experience across multiple surgical specialties
Preferred Experience / Skills
- More than 3 years of operating room nursing experience
- Experience with Xi robotic-assisted surgical procedures
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system
