Contract | 13 Weeks | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | 12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-surgical care to adult and geriatric patients in a 40-bed inpatient Post Surgical Care Unit following PACU recovery
• Manage a patient assignment of 4–5 patients during day/evening shifts and up to 5–7 patients on nights in a fast-paced environment averaging 10–15 admissions per day
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic EMR
• Administer and scan medications using Rovers and manage IV therapy via Alaris pumps
• Float to all inpatient units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Prioritize and multitask patient care needs based on acuity while functioning effectively as part of a collaborative team

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Alaris infusion pumps and Rovers medication scanning technology
• Demonstrated ability to manage high patient volumes and rapid admissions in a post-surgical setting
• Experience caring for joint replacement or complex surgical patients with extended lengths of stay
