Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit serving a diverse patient population including Oncology, Cardiac Acute/Medical Care, Post-Surgical, Bariatric, Urology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Hospice/Palliative Care, and Infectious Disease patients
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG readings, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Manage a patient assignment at a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Float to a sister facility approximately 25 minutes away as required per unit needs
- Provide weekend coverage on a rotating every-other-weekend schedule, with 12 weekend shifts per contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid Arizona or Compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; must not be expiring within 30 days of assignment start date
- Minimum 1.5 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience required
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
- Experience managing a 1:6 patient ratio required
- Must be willing and able to float to a sister facility; blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred
- Experience caring for Hospice/Palliative Care, Oncology, or Bariatric patient populations preferred
