Key Responsibilities
- Perform a diverse range of diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical imaging procedures using specialized equipment and techniques in accordance with established scope of practice guidelines.
- Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician-ordered procedures; communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team.
- Conduct post-procedure reviews to confirm all required study elements are completed, documented, and meet technical quality standards consistent with department protocols and accreditation requirements.
- Transfer images and data to appropriate archival systems, enter technical findings, and prepare studies for physician reporting.
- Perform operator-level quality control checks, equipment cleaning, high-level disinfection, and user maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide instruction and mentorship to less experienced team members and participate in in-service training, continuing education, and performance improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular specialty, OR graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program with emphasis in a radiologic technology specialty.
- Current CT credentials as required for the position upon hire.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Core to intermediate-level knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, and radiologic/cardiovascular technology principles and terminology.
- Ability to perform, post-process, analyze, and annotate study data with limited direction and without immediate supervision.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize independent work assignments, and remain calm in stressful or emergent situations.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- One (1) year of full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional in the applicable specialty.
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
