Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (18:30–07:00) | 36–48 Hours/Week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting, managing critically ill patients with complex needs.
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status using Cerner electronic health records.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
- Float to Medical/Surgical or Telemetry units during periods of low ICU census, maintaining patient ratios of 5–6:1.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an ICU setting.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- TNCC or TCAR certification required.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification and a minimum of 6 hours of Stroke education (education may be provided if needed).
- EKG course completion required (course may be provided if needed).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records system.
- Comfort and flexibility with floating to Medical/Surgical or Telemetry units as needed.
