Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department, with a significant portion of patients consisting of admitted holds.
• Administer medications, including IV medications, in accordance with the seven medication rights.
• Document and communicate clinical findings accurately and in a timely manner using Cerner electronic health records.
• Manage care for patients in ED Holding and support trauma cases commensurate with experience.
• Float to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs; optional floating to Pediatric ED and potential floating to ED Holding and Trauma as directed.
• Adhere to a patient ratio of 1:5 and participate in weekend scheduling as needed, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state license may be pending at time of submission).
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience (candidates with 1.5 years may be reviewed).
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications — TNCC must be obtained prior to submission; NIH certification may be pending until compliance document due date.
• RQI certifications are not accepted in lieu of required certifications.
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (non-local candidates only); non-local driver's license required on file.
• Ability to complete drug screening within 30 days of assignment start and compliance documentation within 10 days prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience is strongly preferred; first-time travelers with 2+ years of Level I Trauma experience may be considered.
• Level I Trauma center experience is highly preferred given the facility's trauma designation.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting systems.
