Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6–7 nurse-to-patient ratio across private-room settings
• Care for a diverse patient population including post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end-of-life, and low-volume inpatient chemotherapy patients
• Monitor and manage patients on remote telemetry (monitored off-unit by monitor technicians); no on-unit strip reading required
• Administer drips including Heparin and MSO4 for comfort measures; no cardiac drips involved
• Support patients on Bipap, CPAP, and High Flow oxygen, all managed in coordination with Respiratory Therapy
• Work within both designated clean and isolation patient cohorts on the unit; must be comfortable with simultaneous assignments across both designations

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — any history of hits on professional license must be disclosed at time of submission
• Current BLS certification (only required certification)
• Comfort working with palliative, hospice, and end-of-life patient populations
• Ability to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and two Fridays per scheduling period
• Willingness to float to other Medical Surgical units within the facility as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical setting with post-surgical or orthopedic patient populations
• Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring workflows
• Experience caring for dialysis or oncology patients in an inpatient environment
