Travel – Physical Therapist (Rehab Unit)
Location
Gainesville, Florida
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | 13-Week Assignment | Projected Start: July 6, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans within an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Perform therapeutic interventions including gait training, therapeutic exercise (TherEx), functional training, and ADL training
- Facilitate safe patient transfers and mobility activities using standard inpatient rehab gym equipment including balance and gait systems
- Provide family and patient education to support recovery goals and discharge planning
- Accurately document patient care and progress using the Meditech (Expanse) electronic documentation system
- Participate in weekend rotation call schedule as required by the unit
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license valid in the state of Florida
- Minimum of 2 years of physical therapy experience
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting is accepted and welcomed
- Ability to function independently and adapt to a fast-paced inpatient rehabilitation environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel therapy experience preferred
- Experience with new hospital or unit start-up environments
- Familiarity with Meditech (Expanse) documentation platform
