Travel RN – Operating Room (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | Onsite | Projected Start: July 20, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct 1:1 perioperative nursing care across a 13-room Main Operating Room performing all surgical cases except open heart, transplants, and eye procedures
- Collaborate with surgical technicians, support staff, and board runners to ensure safe and efficient OR operations
- Utilize advanced surgical equipment including Stryker ortho systems, laparoscopic towers, robotic platforms, and navigation systems
- Document patient care accurately using the MEDITECH electronic documentation system
- Fulfill on-call obligations (4–5 call shifts per 4-week period) and participate in weekend rotation with no fixed set schedule
- Float to assist in other areas of the facility as needed when the ORs are not in operation, internal float first
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Demonstrated experience in orthopedic major joint, general, urology (open and cystoscopy), and minor vascular surgical cases
- Current BLS certification
- Adherence to all AORN guidelines and facility dress code (scrubs provided by facility)
- Strong punctuality, teamwork orientation, and positive professional attitude
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with major vascular surgical cases
- Additional surgical certifications beyond BLS
- Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical platforms and navigation systems
