Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (Travel)

Knoxville, Tennessee

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite | Travel

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide total patient care for Emergency Department patients with a 4:1 variable patient ratio
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across the full acuity spectrum
  • Document all patient care activities accurately using Cerner EMR
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
  • Adhere to facility protocols, departmental policies, and standard nursing practices

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to start date
  • ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI, and NRP certifications required within 90 days of start
  • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience
  • Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting
  • Familiarity with Cerner EMR documentation
