Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social, and mental functions in alignment with department objectives
- Serve as co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient groups
- Float between inpatient acute care and inpatient acute rehabilitation settings on a daily basis
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in Neuro and ICU settings
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using required electronic medical record systems
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) required (if licensure obtained on or after January 2007); foreign equivalent accepted
- Active Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of practice required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
- EPIC and Cerner experience within the last 5 years required; each work history entry must specify the charting system used, with dates provided if multiple EMR systems were used at the same organization
- Strong clinical skills in an acute inpatient hospital setting and inpatient acute rehabilitation required
- Must be available to work weekends, including potentially all weekend shifts
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum of two years of occupational therapy experience in a hospital or acute rehabilitation setting preferred
- Experience in Neuro and/or ICU patient populations preferred
