Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Night Shift)
Location
Aurora, Colorado
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Full-Time | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive emergency department nursing care across a 50-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
- Perform and interpret EKG readings, cardiac monitoring, and blood glucose assessments
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, EMTs, and medics to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Document all patient care activities accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Communicate effectively with staff and providers to support high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital Emergency Department experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Current PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Level I Trauma center experience
- Stroke program experience
- Energetic, collaborative practice style with strong interpersonal and communication skills
