Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Full-Time | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 27-bed Level II Trauma Emergency Department with a certified chest pain center and thrombectomy-capable stroke center designation
- Manage a patient assignment within a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, with charge nurse support and 24/7 leadership backup
- Perform and assist with procedures including procedural sedation (Propofol, Etomidate, Ketamine), trauma care, and stroke/chest pain interventions
- Deliver safe, attentive care for psychiatric and at-risk patients with a focus on patient safety monitoring protocols
- Utilize alternative-to-opioid (ALTO) pain management therapies in alignment with unit practice standards
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to support understanding, comfort, and high-quality patient experience
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Current PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) credential
- Experience with Meditech EMR (DOS platform)
- Background working in a high-volume Emergency Department environment
