Registered Nurse – Infusion (Oncology)
Location
Boston, MA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Administer infusion therapies to oncology patients in an outpatient infusion unit setting
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor responses to treatment
- Manage complex GI chemotherapy and infusion regimens safely and accurately
- Establish and maintain IV access, including management of central lines and peripheral IVs
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate and deliver patient-centered care
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of oncology infusion experience in an academic medical center setting
- Minimum 1 year of outpatient nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
- ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification required
- Strong IV insertion and patient assessment skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with complex GI chemotherapy regimens
- Familiarity with high-acuity oncology patient populations in an academic medical center environment
