Travel RN – Emergency Department (Night Shift)
Location
Centennial, Colorado
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Full-Time | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a hospital-based Emergency Department with patient ratios that vary based on acuity, typically 4:1
- Perform procedures including IV placement, EKG, Foley catheter insertion, splinting, wound infiltration, and wound care
- Administer medications and conduct thorough patient assessments in a fast-paced ED environment
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy, house supervisors, med/surg/ICU staff, lab, and on-site radiology (CT, MRI, Echo, X-ray, Ultrasound)
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Operate unit equipment including LifePak, Lucas, Philips, and GE devices
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care Emergency Department RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Current PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a large, hospital-based Emergency Department setting
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
