Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient- and family-centered care in the operating room and across perioperative services for all patient populations
- Serve as a patient advocate and maintain compliance with surgical standards of nursing practice
- Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and reassessments on all patients, including pediatric and geriatric populations, in accordance with policy
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team — including RNs, LPNs, nursing assistants, physicians, and ancillary disciplines — in patient and family assessment and care planning
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans through assessment, nursing diagnosis, and ongoing evaluation
- Adequately assess and reassess pain and utilize appropriate pain management techniques
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Thorough knowledge of sterile technique
- Strong communication skills with keen attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize workload, and manage multiple assignments with multilevel personnel
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior experience in perioperative or operating room nursing
