Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Location
Thornton, Colorado
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Mid Shift (1:00 PM – 1:00 AM) | Onsite | Projected Start: August 31, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rapid assessment, stabilization, and intervention for emergency department patients
- Obtain and monitor patient vitals and perform ECGs
- Administer IV therapy and operate unit equipment including IV pumps, EV 1000, EKG machines, and ultrasound machines
- Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1 in a 40-bed emergency department
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, Paramedics, and EMTs across shift rotations
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care Emergency Department RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification (current)
- ACLS certification (current)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (current)
- PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications (current)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- Team-oriented, motivated, and experienced emergency department nursing background
