Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Location
Odessa, TX
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) | Tuesday through Friday | On-Call: 1 weekday and 1 weekend per month
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a main operating room setting across a broad range of surgical specialties
- Support robotic-assisted surgical procedures including XI robotic platform cases
- Assist with orthopedic, trauma, general, gynecological, urological, and neurological/spine surgeries
- Participate in ENT, plastic, pain management, ophthalmology, and vascular surgical cases as needed
- Fulfill on-call responsibilities as scheduled, including weekday and weekend call rotations
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of professional nursing experience; more than 3 years of OR experience strongly preferred
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Must be a travel candidate (local applicants within 50 miles of facility are not eligible)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records system
- More than 3 years of operating room nursing experience across multiple surgical specialties
- Demonstrated proficiency with XI robotic surgical platform
