Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Location
Charleston, SC
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | On-Call Required (up to 4 call shifts per 4-week period) | Weekend Requirement (up to one working weekend shift per 4-week period) | Holiday Requirement (at least one holiday period: Christmas or New Year's)
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate surgical procedures across a wide range of specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Orthopedics, Neurology, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics
- Provide direct perioperative patient care within a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center operating room environment
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team consisting of Registered Nurses and Certified Surgical Technologists
- Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units or sister facilities as required
- Participate in on-call shifts and respond to emergency surgical cases as needed
- Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for accurate and timely clinical documentation
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start)
- Current BLS certification
- Radiation Badge compliance (badge provided)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers considered
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Scrub experience in the OR setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system
- Experience working in a Magnet-designated or academic teaching facility
