Travel RN – Cardiac Med / Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups on a cardiac/med-surg unit
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
- Perform drug titration and operate unit equipment including Alaris pumps, telemetry monitors, and lift equipment within a 32-bed unit
- Float on a rotational basis as required and maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information
- Function within the scope of nursing practice consistent with applicable state nursing practice standards, mission, values, and service standards
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Telemetry experience
- BLS certification from AHA only
- 4 trauma credits required (must be completed within the first two weeks of assignment if not already obtained)
- NIHSS certification (may be submitted without, but must be obtained prior to start date)
- Demonstrated experience and competence in drug titration
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1 (declinations not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification from AHA only
- Additional cardiac telemetry experience beyond the minimum requirement
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Determined, decisive, and flexible personality well-suited to a fast-paced cardiac environment
