Registered Nurse – Oncology (Chemotherapy Services)
Location
Madison, WI
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Onsite | Full-Time | Shifts available: 5x8 hours (7:00–15:30) or 4x10 hours (7:00–17:30), Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments in an outpatient clinic setting
- Perform peripheral IV (PIV) placement and port access
- Provide IV hydration, blood product administration, and injections
- Monitor and assess patients throughout treatment in accordance with oncology nursing standards
- Float to other units or areas as needed per facility requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- ONS or ONCC certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Must pass a telemetry/cardiac rhythm interpretation exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on adult exam)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in an outpatient oncology or infusion clinic setting
- Familiarity with port access and management of complex IV therapies
