Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon admission, including obtaining past medical history, current medical status, vital signs, and review of diagnostic results such as lab work and x-rays
- Develop, plan, and implement written care plans under the direction of a physician
- Administer medications accurately, applying appropriate visual acuity and hand-eye coordination standards
- Maintain thorough and confidential patient documentation and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Uphold patient safety standards and adhere to established nursing protocols in the Emergency Department
- Interact positively with patients and care team members, respecting each patient's culture, lifestyle, religion, and age when planning or delivering care
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
- Active New Hampshire Registered Nurse (RN) license, or eligibility to obtain one
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Ability to perform standard nursing assessments using basic clinical equipment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Prior clinical experience in an Emergency Department or related specialty area
- Specialty certification relevant to emergency nursing
- Membership in a professional nursing organization
