Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Chattanooga, Tennessee

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Full-Time | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to laboring and postpartum patients in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe patient outcomes
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and other ordered treatments in accordance with facility protocols
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic health record
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and support NICU-level care coordination as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills specific to obstetric care
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a facility with a Level III NICU
- Familiarity with high-acuity obstetric cases and emergency delivery situations
- Previous travel nursing experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
