Registered Nurse – Adult ICU (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days | 10-Week Assignment | Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Projected Start: August 2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patient conditions and develop, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans in a critical care setting
  • Administer intravenous fluids and medications, perform suctioning, and provide advanced life support
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs; ensure proper functioning of ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment, including ventilator and IABP adjustments
  • Assist physicians with procedures and collaborate with the broader critical care team to coordinate patient care
  • Respond to life-saving situations using established nursing standards and protocols
  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families; serve as a patient advocate

Required Qualifications

  • Current Texas RN license or valid multi-state RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in an ICU or critical care setting
  • Active ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior travel nursing experience
  • Experience caring for pre- and post-operative patients in a critical care environment
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care settings
