Job Title

Registered Nurse – Adult ICU (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Assess patient conditions and develop, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans in a critical care setting
Administer intravenous fluids and medications, perform suctioning, and provide advanced life support
Monitor and record patient vital signs; ensure proper functioning of ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment, including ventilator and IABP adjustments
Assist physicians with procedures and collaborate with the broader critical care team to coordinate patient care
Respond to life-saving situations using established nursing standards and protocols
Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families; serve as a patient advocate

Required Qualifications

Current Texas RN license or valid multi-state RN license
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in an ICU or critical care setting
Active ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior travel nursing experience
Experience caring for pre- and post-operative patients in a critical care environment
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care settings
