Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care on a 16-bed Med Surg / Telemetry unit with a 5:1 patient ratio
Monitor and care for telemetry patients, including reading and measuring telemetry strips
Deliver post-operative surgical care including orthopedic and general surgery patients
Administer and manage IV drips including Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Accurately document patient care and assessments using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

Minimum 24 months of current Med Surg and/or Med Surg Telemetry experience in a hospital or medical center setting
Experience with orthopedic and general surgery patient care
Drip experience with Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Active Iowa RN license or active Compact / Multistate RN license at time of submission
Active AHA or ARC BLS certification
Active AHA or ARC ACLS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

Hands-on telemetry experience with ability to read and measure strips
EPIC EMR charting experience
Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
